Michelle Brusio, MSN, RN, CCM
Michelle has been a Registered Nurse for over 25 years with much of her career dedicated to Case Management. Michelle has a Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in care coordination. Her case management experience includes acute care hospital/discharge planning, outpatient, primary care, community, and payer/insurance. Michelle is an avid learner and always looking for evidence to increase her skills, knowledge, and leadership. Michelle is currently Clinical Manager of Population Health, Care Transformation Organization and Primary Care for University of Maryland, Upper Chesapeake Health.
Michelle is a member of Case Management Society of America, Geriatric Assistance Information Network, and the Maryland Gerontological Association. She is also on the Senior Advisory Board in Harford County, Maryland. Michelle has been married for 25 years to her husband Nick, has two Children, Lexi and MJ. She also has two dogs Lucy and Gunnar. Michelle is a huge Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens fan. She is excited to teach/mentor other professionals about case management at our university.

Mary Detweiler
She is a Masters prepared registered nurse and also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Services. She has been working in the field of case management for 20 years and achieved certification in Case Management from CCMC in 2012 and have have experience working in hospital, insurance, workers comp, long term care and community case management. She also held an executive position on the Board of Directors of the Case Management Society of America Mid- Atlantic Chapter since 2016 and presently serve as President.
She is very excited to join the team at Case Management University and looks forward to sharing her passion for case management and the incredible work we do with the next generation of case managers, the heroes of our Healthcare system!
Binta Grayson, degree in HIM and health Informatics, BSN, and MPH
She is a seasoned healthcare professional with 23 years of experience in the industry. She began her journey as a critical care nurse, dedicating ten years to honing her skills and knowledge. Transitioning into case management, Binta has spent the last 14 years specializing in complex case management and utilization review.
Throughout her career, Binta has excelled in various leadership roles within case management, social work, and utilization review, showcasing her exceptional managerial abilities and in-depth understanding of these crucial areas. She currently holds the esteemed position of Head of the Case Management Department at a Magnet Level 1 Trauma Hospital, where her leadership has significantly impacted.
Binta’s passion for teaching is evident in her commitment to empowering the next generation of case managers. Her dedication to sharing knowledge and expertise inspires those entering the field. With a strong focus on mentorship and education, Binta Grayson continues to shape the future of case management, leaving a lasting and positive influence on the healthcare industry.
Yolanda Scott MSW, LSW, CCM
This professional started her career in Social Work in 2007. With a Bachelors in Professional Studies and Master’s in Social Work. Yolanda continued to explore many aspects of the helping professional. Consulting work with Child Protective Services NYC. In Home Therapy for Children to remain in the community instead of hospitalization. Work with women and children in Domestic Violence shelters in NYC. This professional made her move to New Jersey in 2012 where she found her passion working within the Healthcare System. Licensed Social Worker, Discharge Planner, Crisis Intervention in Psychiatric Emergency Department, and Case Management in Critical Illness Hospital where she became a Certified Case Manager (CCM). Currently as a Case Manager in the hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility in Northern New Jersey. Yolanda continues to learn, explore, and grow throughout healthcare system and is excited to share her knowledge and experience with others interested in Case Management.

Robyn Powell MSN, RN, CCM
Robyn has been a registered nurse for 22 years with a master’s degree in nursing leadership in health care systems and holds a Case Management Certificate from CCMC since 2013. For the past 15 years, she has worked in workers compensation as a Field Case Manager (FCM) and a Telephonic Case Manager (TCM) and holds multiple state licenses. Robyn is skilled in various aspects of nursing including , Labor & Delivery, Public Health, Academic Teaching BSN and Associate degree programs, CNA programs at the high school level, and CNA test proctoring. She currently works as a Quality Assurance RN with DDD. Robyn has a passion for teaching and mentoring others by sharing her knowledge and expertise with those entering the fields of nursing and work-comp case management. Robyn believes that mentoring other nurses and providing support and guidance are crucial to being successful and improving overall care for everyone.
Dr. Ellen Fink-Samnick
She is uniquely qualified to provide our students with unparalleled insights into Ethics, Health Equity and Quality, and Social determinants of health, to mention but a few. Dr. Fink-Samnick is widely recognized as a top subject matter expert in these areas and has earned numerous awards for her contributions to the field.
Dr. Fink-Samnick’s impressive credentials include a Doctorate in behavioral health and over 40 years as a licensed clinical social worker. She is a board-certified case manager, former commissioner for CCMC, and past chair of their Ethics and Professional Conduct Committee. Dr. Fink-Samnick was recently inducted as a Fellow in Case Management (FCM). She is also certified clinical trauma professional. Her knowledge and expertise have earned her academic appointments at some of the most prestigious universities in the country, including Cummings Graduate Institute of Behavioral Health Studies, George Mason University’s College of Public Health, and the University of Buffalo School of Social Work.
